I've made a track alteration in the fiddle yard.

Whilst "playing" recently, I've got fed up with the continual derailment of a few trains upon entering fiddle yard Track 9.  They were caused by the quite severe reverse curved through a small radius left hand point.  To solve the problem I have removed conpletely the offending point.  Now Track 9 and is accessible only from the opposite end of the fiddle yard and has been extended in length by some 3' 6".  This causes no major operational problems and still leaves 16 tracks accessible from the north end of the layout as shown in the following three photos.

I've started on the installation / wiring up of the signals.  If all goes to plan, my next update, at the conclusion of this task, will hopefully be around the end of August.

More photos of my "play" / test sessions prior to starting on the signals.

STROLEY INTERNATIONAL's platforms are now complete.

They have been populated with station furniture, signage and passengers. To my eyes, it has an atmosphere of hustle and bustle and to put anything else onto the platforms would be overkill.

The Retail Park stores have also been completed and glued and screwed into position, along with the retaining wall between them and the station.

The Transport Interchange above the north end of the platforms has also been populated and completed, prior to the start of the bus and coach services.

The full station overview can be seen in this montage of photos.

The following set of photos show the platforms in detail plus some of the cameo scenes like the group of railway enthusiasts at the platfom end with their cameras in the first photo.  The "non-prototypical" railway signs can be spotted in other photos.

There now follows an "International" montage of photos featuring the four International

European sets; TGV; THALYS; ICE and EUROSTAR.

Also in the mix is the "GNERstar" White Rose unit.

With the station now complete, I'm intending to have another few days of playing .... I mean testing (!!) sessions prior to my next task which will be the positioning and wiring up of the twenty plus colour light signals.
