LATEST ACQUISITIONS:-

A quartet of Limited Edition Network Rail "IOA" wagons

arrived via Royal Mail this morning from HATTONS of LIVERPOOL.

I've fancied these wagons for a while now and, as they have been reduced in price

by a fiver each, I thought "we'll have some of that!!"

22 - 11 - 11.

There was an arrival at Stroley Towers this morning.
It was the MODEL RAIL Limited Edition
DRS Compass liveried Class 37, 37409 Lord Hinton.

A splendid model locomotive
that will partner the DRS liveried Class 20, 20904 also a MODEL RAIL Limited Edition for the Nuclear Flasks that "do the odd turn" through Stroley International.

20 - 11 - 11.
The annual "pilgrimage" to the NEC for the Warley Model Railway Show
is now a distant memory.

I went with Andy (Portland Grove) McPhillips and we met up with Terry (Glebe Road Junction) Shorrock; Matt (Ilkeston Road) Hindes and Jack Bowley (Basford Parkway & the MRL Forum) and his mate Daniel.

An excellent day out was had by all and credit card bashing was the order of the day.

One of the new Class 350 EMUs (in the unbranded Silver Link livery) was released in time for the show and found its way into Terry's bag, so look out for that in his next update.
I'm waiting patiently for the London Midland versions!!

The first look at the BLUE PULLMAN in the Bachmann showcase
drew some salivating from the gathered masses!!
We couldn't get anywhere near WIBDENSHAW due to the hoards three or four deep viewing that marvellous layout, so luckily I've seen it before.
Another of my favourites was at the exhibition,
YARBOROUGH but unfortunately was down towards the rear of the exhibition
and therefore not too well lit by the NEC's lights.
My photos suffered accordingly.
