 LATEST UPDATE:- 10 - 11 - 12.

MY LATEST ACQUISITION:-

BACHMANN announced some two years ago that they were going to produce this iconic Pullman set and here we are in ... November 2012 ...

The MIDLAND (BLUE) PULLMAN

visiting

STROLEY INTERNATIONAL.

 MY LATEST ACQUISITION:-

HORNBY have completely upgraded their old (LIMA) Class 67 and released it in three liveries.

Here is 67018 the DBS version complete with the maple leaf  and Keith Heller name plates.

A fine example of the real thing.

MY LATEST ACQUISITIONS:-

Hornby have three Class 92s coming out in the next few months.

The first two being 92042 in DB Schenker, and 92017 "Bart The Engine" in Stobart livery.

I have ordered all three and 042 and 017 are featured here as my latest acquisitions.

92042 (above) may look as though it's been tangoed,

in daylight the colour looks much more like the correct shade of red!!

MY LATEST ACQUISITION:-

One of the 2011 releases that was delayed by HORNBY has finally "escaped".

The Class 86 in the recent livery upgrade for the Freightliner fleet in the "Powerhaul" variation.

 MY LATEST ACQUISITIONS:-

Released by BACHMANN in early March but due to my two months in Spain,

I didn't physically have them in my collection until the middle of May,

the Class 350 units are simply sensational and my favourite units to date.

I purchased two of the London Midland sets so that, on STROLEY INTERNATIONAL

I can mimic the actual dividing / attachment of units that happen

in the rush hour periods at Northampton station.

The STROLEY INTERNATIONAL Video No.54 on my YouTube channel shows this

to great effect and can be seen HERE

There now follows a montage of photos of these units on my layout.

11 - 01 - 12.

More variety for my International Freights, these wagons are

Manufactured by Electrotren.  The HO-gauge LIMITED EDITION

FERRY VANS are in the "Leyland Cars" blue livery, and were a very good deal.

Not a "B.O.G.O.F" but a "3 for 2" deal from ....

ON-TRACKS

£50 plus £2 P&P charge ... a steal ... get 'em while you can!!

They do have the European couplings but, included with each wagon, is a pair of British couplings.

A job that I've had in the "pending" file for quite a while was completed over the Christmas period.

I had purchased the "Containers" kit from SCALESCENES.COM a few weeks ago

and I wanted to make up some container sides to advertise "The Partnership" layouts on the

latest Stroley International videos that I would be producing.

The results of which, whilst viewed on my YouTube video upload No. 51,  are not that clear.

This is the explanation of this particular exercise.

The containers were built from the kits - there are twenty various named containers plus one "blank"

which can be found at the end of the kit.  This is the one I used.

I designed the art-work on my PC, copied it onto water-slide decal paper available from

CRAFTY COMPUTER PAPER

 and Bob's yer Uncle!!

There are five layouts under our banner "The EUROPEAN PARTNERSHIP" and as the Intermodal

Services that pass through Stroley International are eight wagons long,

I have included three "Friends of ..." at the rear.

These containers, both individually and collectively on a "down" service,

can be viewed here.

MY LATEST ACQUISITION

Newly arrived from my main supplier,

MODELFAIR.COM

is the HORNBY (R2984) Power Car set for the Network Rail New Measurement Train

(affectionately known to some as the "Flying Banana").

These PCs have now joined with the two-coach pack and will hopefully be followed later this year

with the remaining coaches to make up this train.

Here it stretches its legs on Stroley International.

A YouTube video Upload can now be seen of the containers & the NMT
